It's the Queen's Birthday...Let's Celebrate!!
What a fantastic week we have had discovering so much about our Royal family all the way over in England. Oliver could share that England was very far away and when he went there he had to go on 5 airplanes!! Phew, that is far Oliver!! It is of course the Queen's Birthday and we are always up for a bit of a celebration so the planning began!
We spent the week researching what Queens and Kings wear and discovered that they can both wear capes. We also found out that Queens often wear Tiara's which, as Hannah could share, is a crown that just goes over your forehead and not around the back of your head...Great explanation Hannah. And crowns come in all different shapes, sizes and colours!!
With all those ideas in mind we set to work on Thursday creating our own crowns to wear to the Queen's Birthday Feast...
Check out the slideshow and see how it all took place!!
And a BIG happy Birthday to Queen Elizabeth and thanks to her, we get to stay in our beds a bit longer on Monday so no Kindergarten everyone!!
Have a great long weekend,
