Term 1 Week 10

Wow, what an experience!! A big thanks to Curtis from Adventure Southland who came out on Tuesday to the Reserve and set up a zip-line and abseil. The children had an amazing morning, fitting their harness, flying through the trees, climbing to the tree tops and learning how much fun the outdoors provides! And a fitting way to farewell 8 of the Forest Kindy group who will be heading off to school next term. Thank you to our many helpers who joined in on the action this week!

Happy School Days to Fletcher Scott who started at Limehills School this week. Thanks to Nana Jan for these photos from Forest Kindy below:

End of Term Easter Celebrations
Invites went out this week (and also an email invite for our TF Group if I missed you today) with details for our end of term Easter Celebrations. Everyone is more than welcome to join in on the fun, a great way to see out the term and share in your child and their peers day. We also have the end of term tidy up, a big thanks to those who have already put their names down for a job, we really appreciate it.

Term 1 Week 7

Forest Kindy this week: playing in the stream, collecting leaves for the Teddy Bears Picnic, digging for bugs, using the handsaw, making see-saws, eating blackberries, pretending to be birds in the BIG nest/pile of cut down tree branches, visiting Tingah-Bell's house in the woods, and having a blast!! Thanks Tess, Tash and Sarina our Helpers this week.

Plunket Appeal - Teddy Bears Picnics
Wow, what a fantastic time we had at our Teddy Bear's Picnics this week! Thanks for your donations towards Plunket. We had many visitors including Nicky and Liam from Plunket, a doctor, family and siblings, and Jo Te Heuheu and Ebony Close coming in for their baths! Our picnic treats were delicious, the teddy bears had a grand time, and the children loved seeing Kindy transformed into the woods complete with a bear cave outside! Slideshows of our days were sent home, send us an email if you did not receive the Smilebox - thanks!
