Kia ora and welcome back to term 2! We hope everyone had a relaxing Easter Break and we look forward to another term of new experiences and fun together. This week we fare welled Alex Rye off to Hedgehope School. We welcome new faces to the TF Group: Jonty Cubitt, Olivia Anderson, Liam Ankerson, Zack Leask and Seamus Bielski.

ANZAC DAY
We have started the term with a huge focus around ANZAC DAY and what that means for us. We have read wartime stories at Story Time and researched YouTube clips of images and film. In The Arts we have had poppy finger painting and clay poppy sculptures, as well as navy ship creating in the Project Room with Carol. Our light box displays a soldiers helmet and bullet shell that have kindly been lent to us. We look forward to hearing next week from families who attend Anzac Day services over the weekend. We are hoping to organise a trip to the Southland Museum to visit their wartime display...watch this space!
