Xmas Crafts
Santa's little helpers have been busy at work, decorating Kindy and working alongside the teachers to create lots of festive cheer! A big thanks to our amazing Parent Group for coming in each day this week and creating with the children - Kindy looks fantastic! Parents, grandparents, and other family members are always warmly invited to pop in and share in our programme -arts and crafts, sharing story books and songs...A special time in your child's lives to celebrate together :)
Winton Community Xmas Tree Display @ the Presbyterian Church
Look what the children have been up to! Forming the shape of "Merry Christmas" using our Amazing bodies! Please do take the opportunity to visit the Display and to see our entry...."I am a part of the community; the community is a part of me".
A-Round Winton Art Exhibition @ the Winton Public Library
Congratulations to Hunter, Monty, Luiza, Reef & Bradley for having their vinyl art works selected by our honorary judge, Central Southland College Art Teacher Kara Boyes. Their art will be included in the Winton Public Library's A-Round Winton Art Exhibition, beginning at the Winton Open Day this Sunday-check it out!
Winton ADVENT-ure Challenge!
Our community identity and participation continues with the excitement of the great Winton ADVENT-ure Challenge. On Tuesday morning we came across the number 4 at Ivy Russell Reserve, and so we left a little piece of "us" at the Wishing Rock, hanging one of our shell decorations for other adventures to enjoy...Good luck to all families taking part - a fabulous opportunity to explore and discover our local community and all it's iconic places!
Forest Kindy - Sausages on the camp cooker - a fitting way to farewell 7 of the Forest Kindy gang - Jimmy, Jae-Bryce, Lucas, Sydney, Jeremy, Radian & Max! A big thank you to Robbie Watkinson - personal chef on Tuesday! And thank you to Lucas Campbell's Nan, who sent down The Three Little Pigs and Jack and the Bean Stalk- all the way from Nelson! We shared the stories at the Three Little Pigs House made of sticks - much to the children's delight. A BIG tks to Rachel Evans our Forest Kindy reliever - and indeed Kindergartens South who support an extra teacher for us to run our 'Nurtured by Nature' programme. Rachel again joins us next year.
Finally, we have found a Dragon's Egg - great find Jeremy! |
