Term 1 Week 2

Happy New Year to everyone ... Haere Mai - Nau Hoki (welcome back)!

Curriculum Design: Group Learning Focus

Ecological life-cycles. Along with all our new families we also have some new visitors arrived ... Asclepius physocrapa/Gomphocarpus physocarpa or swan plants with some very nibbly hosts (caterpillars).

We introduced Eric Carle's classic story 'The Hungry Caterpillar' (an oldie but a goodie) and also we introduced the Hungry Caterpillar - matching game.

And yesterday, as a provocation we introduced a A2 sized piece of paper & look what happened ...

We'll keep watching over the next few weeks as we learn more about life cycles!!!

To all our Taiao Tuhura (Forest Kindy) kids & families our off-site programme starts back on Tue.
