Term 2 Week 2

Wow, what an action-packed second week we have had here at Kindy, with all the hype in the build up to Duck Shooting Weekend! Today we really got into the spirit of things with our Camo Dress-Up Day ...The ducks had landed on the pond when we arrived this morning, and we made sure to feed the pond so that hopefully they are still there for our MTW Group next week...watch this space...Judy's dog Cas came to visit and spent the morning with the group, she is really looking forward to heading out tomorrow with Judy's husband! We then made the compulsory bacon and egg pie with the group to enjoy for lunch - delicious!
*MTW Group* We will have another Camo Day on Monday - come along dressed-up for the occasion and Christina will get out the camo face paint! We look forward to hearing tales of maimai adventures next week...

Limehills School Students help out at Kindy
Each Friday this term we have four students from Limehills School coming down to Kindy to work alongside the children. This morning we had Jaime Anderson, Erin Forde, Leah Watson and Bella Dykes. Tayla Churstain will also be joining the girls - a warm welcome.

Forest kindy
This week we headed back to Ivy Russell Reserve with LOTS of new Forest Kindy Kids. A big thanks to Scott Payne and Gladys Chavez our helpers today. The children loved the swing Scott put up, and Riley Scobie was a fabulous leader - taking the group through the forest and sharing some of our Kindy culture with our new children.

Coming up next week:
Monday - Camo Dress Up day for Duck Shooting
Tuesday - Forest Kindy, Jovi Chavez and Tahi Payne's Kindy Birthdays
Wednesday - Trip to the Southland Museum, Invercargill
