Term 1 Week 5

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AMAZINGLY CREATIVE CHILDREN AT WINTON KINDERGARTEN! ALL our entries at this year's Winton Spring Flower Show were prize winners - 1st for the Group Display (our group mural and story of the Fairies at Forest Kindy); 1st for the Miniature Garden; 1st for the Miniature Farm Scene; and, Liam Ankerson received 1st place for his Bird House in the Handiwork Section....
Wow, what an outstanding achievement! Participating in local events such as the Flower Show builds our scene identity - finding out who we are and were we fit into this special community. We love to explore and learn about the unique places and things in Winton and the surrounding areas. Partaking in the Flower Show promotes our commitment to contributing and being valued members of the society we live in.
Busy working on our entries in the Project Room!

A short week at Kindy this week and the return of our Forest Kindy Days. For families new to Winton Kindergarten, Forest Kindy is an initiative founded by Kindergaretens South to connect and reconnect the child in nature.  Each Tuesday we head to Ivy Russell Reserve Winton with our 10 oldest children, who are involved in a morning of 'Connecting with Nature'.  Check out some of our older posts for a better look at what we get up to in the forest!

We had a delicious Red Healthy Heart morning tea and lunch...cherry tomatoes, strawberries and yogurt, watermelon; as well as heart-shaped pancakes and strawberry jam courtesy of Spencer White and family.
