Happy School Days to Flynn Roskam, off to Limehills School...thanks for the delicious Brownie Cake and recipe! Farewell to Brax Anderson, best wishes at your new Kindy in Invercargill.
Forest Kindy
This week we farewelled Flynn. A special last Forest Kindy Day for him with his whole family - Mum, Dad, Electra and Hunter. Bug hunting with Jax's Nana again a real hit...there is sooo much to discover at Ivy Russell Reserve! Thanks to Kelvin Sinclair and Makenna for the yummy sausages from the camp cooker for morning tea- just what was needed on this fresh Autumn's Day.
Sharon Holt - Te Reo Book Author, joined the group on Wednesday.
We were fortunate to have the opportunity to host acclaimed children's writer Sharon Holt on Wednesday afternoon. The children enjoyed a session of singing and dancing and learning some new te reo with Sharon. We also purchased a number of her books with CDs for the children to enjoy at the Listening Post in the Library Corner as well as during Te Wanaga Time/Discussion Time (1pm daily).
Bark Chip Mountain!
A big thanks to our Parents and Grandparents that came along on both Thursday and Friday to help move our Truck and Trailer load of bark chips. And thanks to Project Manager Spencer White and his labourers Lucas Campbell, Zephrin Latchford, Liam Ankerson & co who spent the entire day on Thursday and Friday loading and unloading bark chips around Kindy - it looks fab!
