Good Morning Mason!

Our overarching dispositional focus this term focuses around our research question: "How do children develop an ECOLOGICAL IDENTITY?" Check our our Planning Wall beside the Parent Pockets for more information. Our Evaluation of Learning from Term 4 2016 was emailed home this week for families to look back over our prior term's learning around COMMUNITY IDENTITY.

Winton Horticultural Society Flower Show Thursday 9th February
Along with these encounters with 'metamorphosis'  we've created a group entry of 'butterflies' using eye-drops of dye onto absorbent tissue.  With a little bit of 'scrunching' & 'manipulating' some florist wire (to make some antenna) the children have indeed created some very vibrant & personalised representations.  We've also been busy making a 'tribute' to Florrie Queale.  Florrie was a very active member of the Winton Horticultural Society who passed away last year.  Winton Kindy's 'Cup-of-Tea' entry is quintessential of Florrie who welcomed EVERYONE & was always available to help in any & every way she could.

Singing in the rain!

Have a great LONG Waitangi Weekend (don't come Monday).  Hoping the weather gods can supply some SUN & we all get an opportunity to get out n about!
