POLYFEST ART FINALISTS!!
Congratulations to us!! During the Term Break the Polyfest Judges came out to Winton Kindergarten to view our Waka. Last Thursday we received confirmation that our entry is a finalist for the Murihiku Polyfest Art Awards taking place next Friday, the 5th of August at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery - well done us!! A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OUR AMAZING FAMILIES FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS OVER TERM 2 TOWARDS THIS EXCITING OUTCOME! We hope to see you at the Awards Ceremony to celebrate with us, come on stage and receive our award, before the Exhibition is officially opened.

Our Polyfest Performance at Stadium Southland will be on Tuesday the 30th of August at 11:45am (approx). Our MTW Group are busily learning our waiata...please help your child with this, song lists will go home next week. Our Kapahaka Kakahu/ Polyfest uniforms arrived during the Term Break. Thank you to Justine Maguire for sourcing these and to Megs Mitchell for all your hard work gathering sponsorship. Thanks to Justine, Kate Watkinson and Rachel Reed for cutting some of our piupiu. If you would like to take a couple piupiu (skirts) home to cut, this would be greatly appreciated. We will also be cutting these during our next Parent Group Meeting, on Wednesday the 10th of August - please do join us.
Thank you for taking the time each week to share in our teaching and learning. We utilise this communication and documentation forum to share with you, our whanau, on a weekly basis. Our Curriculum Design Group Learning Focus “Me mahi tahi tatou mō te oranga o te katoa – We should work together for the wellbeing of everyone. How this whakatauki will intentionally be considered and embedded into both our Teaching and Learning and Kawa of our day.
