Tena Koe Haze
A condensed BLOG this week as Christina (resident BLOGGER) has been away.  A BIG warm welcome to Haze Huntly who has joined our Mon, Tue, Wed group.  Thanks for making Haze feel welcome everyone.

BLUEBERRIES GROW WHERE?'
What a great week to start Haze ... we headed off on our 'Blueberries ... Grow Where?' adventure on Wed.  Check out some of our pics below.  And check out the BIG screen on Monday with our Blueberries ... Grow Where? slideshow.  It was indeed a wonderful adventure ... fresh air, sun & an outdoor morning tea before heading down the lanes to pick & choose some juicy fresh Vaccinium (blueberries).  Tks to Simon (Site Manager) for orientating us ... before heading off to indulge.  Then it was time to head back to Kindy with an added treat for lunch ... some yoghurt & blueberries.  Yep ... awesome day & awesome memories shared.  If you have any blueberry recipes to share ... can you bring them along next week?

This week the last of our butterflies (Purerehua) hatched ... we were able to Google & find out the difference between a male & female monarch.  It's been a wonderful opportunity to watch on a daily basis the life-cycle changes (metamorphosis) of the monarch butterfly.  A question we have posed to the children over this period has been ... What's the difference between a Butterfly & a Moth?  Share with us your child's thoughts (hypothesis) we'd love to hear their theories.   We hope this great weather continues & allows the butterflies to begin another metamorphic cycle.

'BLESSED ARE THEY THAT SEE BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN HUMBLE PLACES WHERE OTHER PEOPLE SEE NOTHING ...'

We welcomed Raewyn (Winton Library) back on Thur to showcase her storytelling skills with us.  What a great opportunity to gather as a group ... bumping & jostling & giggling beside each other as we share some interactive stories & storytelling.  Tks Raewyn!

Interest in our Albatross Cam continues with the live cam link @ Otago Peninsula on our BIG screen  ... the chick continues to grow & grow & it's a wonderful visual representation of how caring both parents continue to be as they nurture this white fluffy cherub.  And Robbo Goose & the solar panel continues to intrigue,  in it's perspective that 'sometimes the wings are moving' & 'sometimes they are NOT'. Why?

Happy 4th birthday to Summer Chapman & Ryleigh Watson ... along with a BIG birthday hug from Brooklyn Dodds!!

All the best to everyone involved either running, walking or helping out in the Fun Run on Sunday.

Have a great weekend  ... Autumn is upon us but let's hold on to these sun filled days for as long as we can!!!

Summer and I really enjoyed looking at all the lovely pictures of all the happy kids! Thanks! Summer thinks that caterpillars and colours make up two major differences between moths and butterflies. We hope the lovely sunny weather keeps continuing too.

Tks for that Summer ... that's something we could research more into next week.
