Daffodil Day
On Friday we showed our support for 'our people' affected by cancer by dressing in yellow & treating our taste buds with 'yellow' morning kai. We also welcomed Ruby Anderson, from Central Southland College, joining us for the day for work experience.
Please give generously to the Cancer Society - Daffodil Day appeal by making your online donation here.
Murihuku Polyfest Kapa Haka
Kaiako couldn't be more proud of nga tamariki & their kapa haka performance on Tuesday, displaying such pride & mana!! Thank you for the massive response in whanau helpers - the day wouldn't have been possible without you.
Upstairs at Polyfest - Miharo Art Exhibition we checked out our own award winning art entry 'To Matou Ara o Raranga' and many creative entries made by tamariki around Southland/Murihuku - on display at ILT Stadium Southland until Friday 6 September.
Finally our much earned lunch break at Anderson Park!
Thanks for the fun Shauna!!
The following day nga tamariki relived their on-stage debut by watching their live kapa haka performance on the big stage and checking out some of their photos...proud as!!
Father's Day Surprise (shhh!)
We hope our Dads, Granddads & special people enjoy their eco-revamped frames, featuring a photo of your Polyfest kapa haka star!! Enjoy!
Next Friday we have the New Zealand Kindergartens Awards where we have been selected one of two finalists for the President/Cultural Award, held in Wellington for NZ Kindergartens AGM. We'll be live streaming to share a presentation & hopefully receive some positive results (fingers crossed!!)
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!
